Hi Alex:

Excellent presentation and thank you! I recently began looking into producing a Podcast and yours is the first explanation I found that set forth in clear list fashion the elements required for basic set-up. Now I completely understand what I need to do.

I have signed up for this web page and it keeps telling me that I am not using the correct password
I had given you the password of #64)&^MmM before and again and it tells me that the password #64)&^mmm it is incorrect! I repeat the process again and you tell me again that the password #64)&^mmm is incorrect when I entered #64)&^MmM !!!!!!!!!!!!
There is something wrong with your system. If you correct your system, let me know because I would like to join.
Do not send me a new password, I am tired of playing password. I have a broken back and every time I have to type I have to sit up, which hurts.
Please fix your system,
Brian Murphy
PS I would like to have the user name of izzwuzz if you can set that up for me but I am done typing to you for the day!

greetings,

It looks like you have a great site here for those interested in starting a podcast show. Somewhere I got the impression that this was a site for those who enjoy podcasts and gave out information on formats and how to either change them or get them to where you need to have them, information on the latest sites on different subjects, etc.
Perhaps I got into an area of your site for those who do want to set up a site and lost the area that would interest me. I have a best friend who is going blind at light speed from his diabetes and although he designed nosecones for rockets back in the golden days of NASA. Unfortunately the nosecones were built by a company that went broke as he was reaching retirement so he is now living on SS. Unfortunately he never became interested in computers (like food this month or a commodore 64)
Getting back on track again. I had an ipod and knew that he would love to learn that while he still had enough site to see the wheel, menus (not for long) and basically where everything is. Which leads to the point of this letter,,,bout time.
So he has an ipod and a friend who knows how to download some podcasts and music but going onto sites other than itunes I am finding out just how ignorant I am at transferring information on different formats onto the ipod and he has eclectic tastes from the past ie: Lum 'n Abner which I have found but on all kinds of different formats and I need to know how to find information to entertain him and lean all about podcasting, downloading and such.
If you know of such a site, please direct me to it.

Thank you so much for your time
Brian

I just found your site - great info! Thank you.
I am hoping you can help me with an alternative to Audio Acrobat.

I know how to create and upload audio using Audacity. It's a great tool. (Though your demonstration of how to include music is new to me...thanks!)

To publish my audio, I use AudioAcrobat. It's a great service, but at $240/year I wouldn't mind finding an alternative. I understand from your ebook about using Archive.org. But my question is how to find code to create a play/pause button on my site. My audio would be archived on a page and I would like to have the ability for visitors to either download the audio to listen or to play it right there on their computer. (I know they can do the right click open as thing, but not all visitors will make it that far.)

Any idea where I can get code to create play and pause buttons the way they do? I'd be willing to buy a solution...assuming it would be a one-time cost and not ongoing like AudioAcrobat.

Any ideas??
